The Cat Corner's Off-site Adoption Centers

In order to save more lives, The Cat Corner has partnered with PetSmart, Petco, and other businesses so that we can reach even more people interested in adopting. These locations allow us to bring our cats closer to adopters throughout the region.

All adoptions are done through The Cat Corner — we only utilize the store’s cages. The off-site locations do NOT handle any approval of adoption applications.

Offsite Cat Adoption Rooms are staffed by volunteers, and sometimes store employees as available, throughout the week and weekend. If you see a cat or kitten that you are interested in adopting, please fill out the online application for that particular cat. The application will be emailed directly to us. We will then email you back to setup a specific appointment for you to go over adopting. You may also call the person's contact information that is on the the cat's PetSmart/ Petco cage card for specific questions on that cat. The adoptions are done through The Cat Corner only -- we utilize these cages to help our cats get more exposure to be noticed and hopefully adopted but the adoptions are not done by the store/ store employees. If you have any questions, please contact us directly.

Hampton PetSmart

Picture
The Cat Corner has four kitty condos inside the Hampton PetSmart adoption room. Please feel free to visit with the cats that are currently in the adoption center waiting for a forever home. If a cat that you have been visiting is no longer at the Hampton PetSmart adoption room, this does not necessarily mean he/she was adopted. We often bring cats back to The Cat Corner to give them a "break" from the busy store and give another kitty a chance up there to be seen and hopefully adopted.

Under supervision of either PetSmart employees or Cat Corner representatives, you are  allowed to spend time with a particular cat. Only approved volunteers can assist with the actual adoption process. All questions should be directed to the person's contact information that is on that particular cat's PetSmart cage card or emailed to [email protected]. An online adoption application can also be filled out to prompt us to know someone is serious about adopting one of our cats at that store. The adoption process can only start after an adoption application is filled out --- which can be done online through our website or in person at The Cat Corner shelter location. There might be others that are also interested in that particular cat or kitten so filling out an adoption application online is highly recommended but doesn't mean you are guarantee to be approved for that particular animal. If you decide on adopting a different cat or there is a better match for you or your family, the name on the application can be easily changed to a different animal.

Finding your right match.

An important part of the process is to match the life-style and needs of the adopter with the individual animal being adopted. In order to insure that your selected animal is the right match, we request everyone who lives in the household to come and interact with your choice(s) before you will be approved to adopt. When coming to adopt, please be sure to give you and your family enough time to get to know the pet you are interested in adopting. Some animals may react differently to different people, this is why it is so important to bring the whole family.

Adoption Process

Adopt.  Foster.  Donate.  Volunteer.
Making a difference, one cat at a time.
