We are ecstatic to report that last week two of our adult cats went home together. Missy and Kay Kay were sisters who are very deeply bonded. From the looks of things they're making themselves right at home with their new forever family, and we couldn't be happier. Congratulations and we wish them the best!
We also heard back from the new parents of our resident gorgeous longhair tortoiseshell Mamma Ireland. They say she is adjusting beautifully, which is a big relief! Mamma Ireland was named because Across the US the homeless cat population explodes during the time of year that animal rescue organizations refer to as 'Kitten Season'. Kitten season is really three seasons in one, starting in spring, peaking in late spring or early summer, and ending in fall. During this time thousands of kittens are born to both feral and unaltered companion cats. Sadly, the simple fact is that there are just not enough homes for all of them.
