This week in adoptions we happily report that Cat Corner resident art model Gepetto has found a home. Gepetto was known to like children and he now has a little sister to call family. He previously modeled for local artist Victoria Watson, and her original sketch hangs at Blue Skies Gallery in Hampton, and Victoria donated a number of prints and cards to the Cat Corner. If you are interested in purchasing one, let us know!
This week we also bid a happy farewell to one of our briefest residents, Sebastian. He was not with us long, and with good reason. He was incredibly outgoing, and though we are sad to see him go, we are glad he is now with a fantastic family. Finally, at our Pet Smart adoption event on Friday, we were able to assist someone who had already adopted a kitten from us in finding a friend for him. Fred Weasley's adopter picked out Jasmine, and it looks like they are getting along together very well. Last week we took the opportunity to thank all of our great volunteers - this week, we're begging for more! Do you know someone who loves cats, but can't have one due to the allergies of a loved one or friend? Is that person you? Do you have cats but just can't get enough furry cuddles? We would love to have you come join us to help out. There are a thousand ways to contribute, whether your special skills include master carpentry or master feather-waving, we have a job for you!
